Real-time vehicle detection using YOLOv8 for multi-lane traffic monitoring and analytics. Implemented intelligent traffic signal timing optimization to reduce congestion at intersections, and built simulation scripts to test traffic scenarios and signal responses. Developed during a hackathon with the Quantum Coders team, pairing a computer-vision pipeline with an adaptive control loop.
